Sampaloc Lake is the biggest and most well-known lake in San Pablo City, Laguna. It covers around 104 hectares and is a peaceful place where people can relax and enjoy nature.

According to local stories, Sampaloc Lake was created when a giant tamarind tree (sampaloc in Filipino) was pulled out from the ground, leaving a big hole that filled with water. This legend adds a magical touch to the lake's history.

The lake is surrounded by trees and has a 3.7-kilometer pathway where people can walk, jog, or bike while enjoying the beautiful view. You can even see Mount Banahaw from the lake! Many people also go fishing here because the lake is full of tilapia and other fish.

In recent years, the community has worked hard to keep the lake clean and protect it. They organize cleanup activities and encourage everyone to take care of the environment, so the lake stays beautiful for everyone to enjoy.

Sampaloc Lake is a great place to visit if you want to relax, see amazing views, or learn more about the culture and history of San Pablo City.
