Sano completed his high school education at Petit Séminaire Saint Jean Nkumba, where he distinguished himself academically and in leadership roles. He served as the Head Boy and Secretary General of JEC (Jeunesse Estudiantine Chrétienne), a Christian student organization, which helped cultivate his commitment to community service and leadership.

Leadership and IPSF Engagement Sano’s leadership skills were recognized by the global pharmaceutical community, leading to his involvement with the International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation (IPSF). As the IT Manager at the IPSF Global Office, Sano managed the organization’s technological infrastructure, facilitating global connectivity among members.

His dedication and passion for the field earned him the position of Regional Media and Publications Officer (RMPO) for IPSF’s African Regional Office (AfRO), which paved the way for his election as Chairperson for the 2024-25 term. In this role, Sano represented IPSF AfRO at the 74th WHO Regional Committee for Africa meeting in Brazzaville, Congo, where he presented policy statements on critical public health issues and emphasized the importance of involving young professionals in healthcare decision-making. His contributions underscored Rwanda’s growing influence in the regional pharmaceutical sector.

Technology and Design Contributions In addition to his work in pharmaceuticals, Sano has a strong interest in technology and design. He founded Sligna Solutions, a company dedicated to innovative solutions in these fields. Notably, Sano led the redesign of the University of Rwanda Students Union (URSU) logo at Huye Campus, representing over 8,000 students. His design work has had a lasting impact on the student community.

During his early years at the University of Rwanda, Sano also created Cloudlen, an online e-commerce platform aimed at simplifying campus life for students. Cloudlen provided a valuable service by delivering products directly to students' hostel rooms, saving them time and effort.
