Satiriantinah (Sati) Bur Rasuanto is an Indonesian business leader, entrepreneur, and data privacy expert born in 1977 in Jakarta. She is currently the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of VIDA, a Southeast Asian digital identity startup company operating in India, Indonesia, and Singapore[1], for which she successfully raised Series A funding in 2022.[2][3][4]
She is a frequent speaker on entrepreneurship and gender, digital identity and digital privacy.[5][6][7][8][9] [10] She has been recognized as leader of a new generation of female entrepreneurs in Indonesia who are transforming business in Indonesia.[11][12][13]
Early in her career, Sati Rasuanto worked as a financial consultant. She then joined the World Bank as an energy specialist and operations officer. In 2009 she joined Indonesia's government as a special staff to the Minister of Investment and Chairman of the Indonesian Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), Gita Wirjawan. She was the founding managing editor to Strategic Review, the Indonesian Journal of Leadership, Policy and World Affairs.[14][15][16]
From 2012-2018, Sati Rasuanto has been an ecosystem builder for Indonesia's tech community as the Founder and Managing Director of Endeavor (non-profit) Indonesia. She launched and built Endeavor Indonesia into a vibrant network of over 250 mentors and experts supporting scale-up companies such as Bukalapak, OnlinePajak, Kata.ai, Ruma, and Kartuku (both acquired by Gojek), The Goods Dept, Cita Rasa Prima Group, and others. She launched flagship initiatives that support the startup ecosystem, including Scale-up Clinic, a speed-mentoring program, and Spice-Up, an accelerator for startup in the Food & Beverage Industry.[17][18] [19][20][21][22] Sati is an elected Member of the Management Board of the Indonesian fintech association, AFTECH. [23]
In 2011, Sati was selected into the Yale World Fellows Program, Yale’s premier program for young leaders.[24] Sati was selected into the Kauffman Fellows Program in 2013, a global network based in Silicon Valley that focuses on high-growth and innovative companies. In 2016, Sati became an Equity and Atlantic Fellow, as part of a global community that promotes equity in South East Asia and around the world. [25][26]
Sati Rasuanto is the daughter of Indonesian writer and journalist Bur Rasuanto (1937-2019).[27] She has two daughters and is married to Joachim von Amsberg (banker).
