This submission appears to be taken from https://www.thejobfairs.co.uk/network/recruiter-profile/the-school-of-army-aeronautical-engineering-recruiter-profile/. Wikipedia cannot accept material copied from elsewhere, unless it explicitly and verifiably has been released to the world under a suitably free and compatible copyright license or into the public domain and is written in an acceptable tone—this includes material that you own the copyright to. You should attribute the content of a draft to outside sources, using citations, but copying and pasting or closely paraphrasing sources is not acceptable. The entire draft should be written using your own words and structure. If re-submitted (and subsequent additions do not reintroduce copyright problems), the content may be assessed on other grounds. |

The School of Army Aeronautical Engineering (SAAE) is the British Army's aircraft engineering school. Currently based at MoD Lyneham having previously been at Arborfield Garrison until April 2015, on the closure of Arborfield SAAE moved to MoD Lyneham. SAAE is co-located at MOD Lyneham with the Defence School of Electro-Mechanical Engineering.[1]
Previously known as the School of Electronic and Aeronautical Engineering (SEAE) the school changed it's name in October 2012. SEAE Arborfield became part of the Defence College of Aeronautical Engineering (DCAE) on 1 Apr 2004. DCAE became the Defence School of Aeronautical Engineering (DSAE)[2] in 2012 becoming part of the Defence College of Technical Training (DCTT).
SAAE provides Initial Trade Training (ITT), Subsequent Trade Training (STT), Artificer and Aviation Engineering Officer training.
Instructors at SAAE consist of avionic and aircraft technicians from the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME)[3] and Civil Service[4] personnel, most of which are ex Army, Royal Navy or RAF.
