Sea of Lies (original title: Dirty White Lies) is a British 2018 thriller film directed by Wolfgang Büld. The film follows the story of a woman named Julia (played by Fiona Horsey) and her husband Tony (played by Victor Alfieri), who both seek to go on a boat trip at sea to help fix their deteriorating marriage after they both had affairs. Their plans quickly falter, however, as they discover a suspicious abandoned yacht and experience peril at sea[1] when a storm traps Julia and her husband with two unexpected guests.[2] It turns out that one of the guests is Matthew (played by Kevin Leslie), Julia's former lover with whom she had been having an affair. The other guest is introduced as Graciella, who is played by Natalia Celino.

Plot

Julia Alexander is the manager of a struggling art gallery who wants to save her marriage with Tony, a successful plastic surgeon. Tony is an unfaithful husband and together they have a 10 year old daughter named Isabelle, with whom they live in a luxurious luxurious house in Spain as expats from the United Kingdom.

Julia and Tony both find out that they have been having affairs on each other, which further damages their already broken marriage. Julia decides to go on an intimate boat trip in the Mediterranean Sea with Tony and their daughter Isabelle to help fix their marriage and spend time as a family together. However, a strong storm approaches and soon sends them adrift. The coincidentally encounter Julia's ex-lover Matthew adrift on a dinghy with a woman named Graciella. She seems normal at first but soon they discover that she is not as innocent and normal as she makes herself seem. Hidden relationships unfold and bloody events unravel as they are all stranded at sea.[3]
