The Secolare Festival is an independent music festival held at the foothills of the Alta Murgia National Park in Corato (Bari), Puglia, since 2023. Aimed at discovering new artists, it encompasses various musical genres, from world music to rock, pop, jazz, and electronic, blending international artists with the local scene. The festival is focused on connecting the territory of Puglia with Europe and the world through music.
Hystory[edit]
The first edition took place on September 9th and 10th, 2023, featuring 12 musical acts across 2 stages, totaling 36 international and local artists. The festival represented a broad and immersive blend of genres, with 4 acts from abroad and 3 from the Italian music scene, alongside 5 high-quality local proposals with international appeal. The venue for the inaugural edition was the Agriturismo San Giuseppe e Circolo Ippico in Corato (Bari). Within the festival area, there were food and beverage areas, camping facilities, a craft market, an exhibition area for producers of Coratina extra virgin olive oil , as well as the concert area. The Secolare Festival 2023, promoted and organized by Spore Società Cooperativa, a cultural and creative enterprise based in Corato (Bari), is part of the multi-year calendar of Major Events of the Puglia Region and the implementing programming of the regional plans for Tourism Puglia365 and Culture Piiil Cultura in Puglia. Secolare Festival is included in the map[1] of Puglia's musical festivals promoted by Puglia Sounds[2]. The event also saw the collaboration of important partners such as the Municipality of Corato, G.A.L. Castel Del Monte, the Alta Murgia National Park Authority, U.N.P.L.I Puglia, Pro Loco Quadratum of Corato, Pugliapromozione[3], and the Teatro Pubblico Pugliese[4]. The event marked a significant step in the Puglia music scene, standing out for its innovative proposal, attention to territorial identity, synergy with the community, and the ability to establish meaningful partnerships. The event not only provided quality entertainment but also became a catalyst for cultural and social development for the community and the surrounding area.
