The Shakti Stream is a stellar stream of the Milky Way Galaxy, which formed some 12 billion years ago, along with the Shiva Stream. It represents one of the foundational blocks that came together to form the Milky Way, merging into the Milky Way before it matured into a spiral galaxy. It is named after the Hindu deity Shakti, who paired with Shiva. It was discovered with the Gaia astrometry satellite.
