Shane LaBounty (Gold)[edit]
Shane LaBounty also known as Shane Gold born (August 23) is an American Actor, Musician, dancer, composer and public speaker. Shane has received numerous positive reviews including a nomination in 2024 at the "2024 HSMTA" for his local performance.[2] Shane being born in the Upstate, New York area has entertained the capital district with original and cover songs, while also sharing his talent for the stage and camera in several local drama productions and films.
Shane began performing at the of 5 years old as a dancer with the Eleanor School of Dance. He then went on to find a love of theater first performing in multiple ensembles in the Glens Falls area to then main stage lead roles in bigger productions. Shane has been performing and acting since 2012 and is presently still working on many projects.
Education and Early Life[edit]
Shane was born in the early 2000's on August 23, in Niskyuna, NY. Shane first found an interest in Law Enforcement and even became a cadet with the Saratoga County Sheriffs Office Explorer Post. Shane's father lived in the town of Glens Falls which Shane attended for his last 4 years of High School, at Glens Falls High School. During his time here he attended the Glens Falls theater ensemble group as an ensemble member and later a reoccurring lead in all the school productions, even leading Shane to become called back and then nominated at Proctors Theater to attend the HSMTA as a nominee for best actor.
With interest in the field of theater Shane took online classes during high school with AMDA and is now looking to attend there for a future BFA in Musical Theater.
Composition and Music[edit]
Shane is also a composer and Musician. He began creating music in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic teaching himself to play piano thoroughly. Shane has written three original Musicals including "The Thinker", "Starstruck: The Musical" and another upcoming show. Shane published some music from "The Thinker" on Soundcloud. He also helped Music direct productions with Broadway Upstate. Shane has performed other music originals at the historic Strand Theater, in Hudson Falls, but is reluctant as of now to release any music publicly.
Stage Name[edit]
Shane has now started using the stage name Shane Gold as it is more "commercially acceptable" and is "bringing to life a new chapter of my life, where my family has there own accomplishments and I have mine.

Besides being a good student in school Shane has received Awards for his roles in some productions.
