Background Shower Power is a male Seventh-day adventist acapella group from Zimbabwe. It was founded in 1992 by two young men named Simba Nyawiri and Venus Khumalo[1]. The group has travelled internationally[2] and recorded 11 albums — Experience, Time has run out, God in His Mercy, Spirit of God, Today, Holy Life, Hymns, The Journey, Latter Rain, 25th Anniversary album "Salting the Earth Through Song" and Royal diadem.[3] . Their most popular songs are Jesu anondidisisa, Without love[4] and Simba rangu[5].

Shower power in now in its tenth generation, commonly called Generation X. Mandikudza Sithole, now retired, has been the longest serving member and director of the group. He sang with the group for 25 years (1997-2022) [3]. The group is now being directed by Jeremiah Janda. All the members in this group are Seventh-Day Adventist church members.
