  • Comment: Ok, the issue here isn't that we need more footnotes/sources in general. You have lots of footnotes here (way more than you need!), and they do show evidence for claims like "he wrote for this company in that year". What we're looking for to establish "should this person have a Wikipedia article" is sources about Sid Kohli, that isn't written by Kohli or someone associated with Kohli (eg, a school he went to). A profile in a magazine, news coverage about his work as a presenter, that sort of thing. asilvering (talk) 23:06, 19 September 2023 (UTC)
  • Comment: Please do not cite Crunchbase, it is a deprecated source. And citing LinkedIn is also pretty pointless, as it is user-generated and therefore not considered reliable. DoubleGrazing (talk) 15:30, 11 September 2023 (UTC)
  • Comment: I will not review this due to the ludicrous levels of WP:REFBOMBING – we really don't need 17 (!!) sources to verify that "He wrote for Sky Sports". Could the author therefore please highlight the three best sources that are secondary, independent, and reliable, and provide significant coverage of Kohli. I will then review those sources to see whether notability exists. (Note that things Kohli has written or said do not count, and this includes programme appearances where he has been the host/interviewer/presenter rather than the subject of the programme or publication.) Sid Kohli (born 6 June 1992) is a sports broadcaster and television producer who has presented coverage of the Premier League for Star Sports and Test cricket for ESPNCricinfo.[1] [2] [3]

Early life and education[edit]

Kohli graduated with a Master's degree from Loughborough University[4] [5] and holds a NCTJ Diploma in Journalism. In 2020, he graduated with a Certificate in Football Management (CFM) issued by UEFA Academy and the University of Lausanne. [6]

Career[edit]

Kohli first presented live sports on television aged 21, co-anchoring the coverage of the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup on Star Sports. In 2015, he joined NDTV. This was followed by positions at BT Sport and CNN International in London[7], as well as BBC Sport in Manchester. He wrote for Sky Sports[8] and presented cricket coverage for ESPNCricinfo in 2018. [9][10]

He was selected as one of the UK's 30 Sport Industry NextGen Leaders in 2019 and was also included in the Association Internationale de la Presse Sportive (AIPS) 'Top 15 Sports Reporters' under 30 the same year.

Kohli has had exclusive interviews with former Premier League and Manchester United footballers Ryan Giggs and Robin Van Persie[11] [12] and also interviewed former Oasis songwriter, guitarist and vocalist Noel Gallagher, as well as International Olympic Committee president Thomas Bach[13] and former India cricket captain Sourav Ganguly. [14]

He was also the host of KPMG's Sports Analytics World Series in London, Amsterdam and Mumbai[15] and was regularly-featured as a moderator for SportsPro and Eleven Sports. [16] [17] [18][19]

In 2021, he was elected onto the Board of the UEFA Academy Alumni Association, serving as Secretary-General.[20] He went on to work on the BBC's coverage of the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics [21] and covered Super Bowl LVII[22] from Arizona for Decyfr Sport[23], a venture he founded and where he currently serves as Chief executive officer.[24] [25] [26] [27] [28] [29] [30]

Since the inaugural edition of the event in 2021, Kohli has been on the judging panel of the UK Broadcast (magazine) Sport Awards.[31]
