From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Society for Cultural Interaction in East Asia (SCIEA) is an international academic society established to foster research and discussions on cultural interactions within East Asia and the Western world.

The society was founded in conjunction with the establishment of the Institute for Cultural Interaction Studies (ICIS) at Kansai University in October 2007. The creation of SCIEA was strongly supported by prominent scholars and institutions, including Princeton University Emeritus Professor Yu Ying-shih. SCIEA was officially founded after a series of international symposiums held at Fudan University in 2007 and 2008.[1]
