Sodyo is a technology company specializing in color visual code technology that offers an alternative to traditional QR codes.[1] This technology enables scanning from a distance, facilitating both online and offline digital interactions through an innovative scanning mechanism. Sodyo's system aims to enhance global communication and interactivity across various applications.[2]

Sodyo was founded in 2012 in Tel Aviv, Israel, by Alex Alon, Rina Alon and Eran Katz. The company was established with the goal of developing interactive visual code technology. It has since become known in the business productivity software industry for focusing on user engagement and connectivity.[3][4]

Sodyo's visual code technology is centered around Color Vertex Points (CVP), which offer several features:[5]

  • Home Shopping: Viewers can scan product codes for information, purchases, or personalized recommendations on home shopping channels.[12]
  • Advertising: Static advertisements can be made interactive by allowing consumers to scan Sodyo markers for additional product information, coupons, or offers.[13][14]
