Draft:Soleo

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Soleo is a middle eastern progressive rock band from Northeast Ohio (Cleveland and Akron area). The band was formed in 2015 and consists of three members: Amir Gholizadeh (Guitar / Vocals), Tynan Evans (Bass Guitar), and Nick Golias (Drums). Soleo independently released it's debut, self-titled 5-track EP in 2016. The band later re-recorded the songs from the EP, along with ten other tracks, to create their debut, self-titled 15-track LP "Soleo," which was distributed through Tragic Hero Records[1][2] in 2022 (Compact Discs) and 2023 (online streaming). Their debut LP is a concept album based on a true story of Gholizadeh's family fleeing Iran during the 1979 Islamic Revolution. Both the EP and LP were produced by Jim Wirt at Crushtone Studios in Cleveland, Ohio.

The band has been featured on local publications such as Cleveland.com[3], and NPR's Ideastream[4]. They have also been featured internationally in Marunouchi Muzik Magazine in Tokyo Japan, and "The Other Radio Show" in Paris, France.
