Zhèng Gèjūn (鄭各均) known professionally as Sonic Deadhorse, is electronic musician based in Taiwan. His work is known for its eclectic style, blending elements of ambient, noise, and experimental music. [1] Additionally he has won many Golden Indie Music Awards and is involved with film scoring.[1]
Musical career[edit]
In 2014, Zhèng also formed an improv duo called Non-Confined Spaces with Minyen Hsieh (saxophones, woodwinds).[2][3] Together the pair explores free jazz, contemporary dance music, jungle, synthwave and have put out two releases - 後設時空共構 Meta, Construct Within’ Spaces and Flow, Gesture and Spaces. The album also went on to receive several nominations at the Golden Indie Music Awards and the Golden Melody Awards, while winning Best Album Producer for the Instrumental Category.[4] Sonic Deadhorse has played Boiler Room Tapei[5]
