Draft:South Vegas Industrial Center

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The South Vegas Industrial Center is a large industrial park located in Jean, Nevada, approximately 30 miles south of Las Vegas. The development covers 200 acres and is designed to serve as a key logistics and manufacturing hub in Southern Nevada, capitalizing on its strategic location along the I-15 corridor, which connects Las Vegas to Southern California.[1]

The South Vegas Industrial Center project was approved by Clark County in 2022. The industrial park is being developed on the site of the former Gold Strike Hotel & Casino, which was demolished to make way for this new development. The park is designed to meet the growing demand for industrial space in the region, driven by its proximity to Las Vegas and major transportation routes.

The industrial center is strategically situated in Jean, Nevada, making it the closest logistics facility to Southern California ports within the state of Nevada. The site is adjacent to I-15, providing direct access to key markets and transportation hubs.

The South Vegas Industrial Center covers a total area of 2.6 million square feet. It includes warehousing, manufacturing facilities, and infrastructure designed to support large-scale industrial operations. The project features more than 300 acre-feet of water, an existing 600,000 GPD wastewater treatment plant, and abundant power supplied by two substations.[2]

This industrial park is expected to play a significant role in the economic development of Southern Nevada, creating jobs and attracting businesses to the region. Its location along I-15 makes it a key player in the logistics and distribution industries, serving as a bridge between Las Vegas and Southern California.
