Stanley Ashbee (born 28 November 2006) is a professional footballer who plays as a defender for Hull City and the Republic of Ireland national under-18 football team.[5]
He is the son of former Hull City captain Ian Ashbee.[3]
Club career[edit]
Ashbee signed his first professional contract with Hull City on 8 December 2023.[5]
He made his professional debut on 16 January 2024, starting in a 2–1 loss to Birmingham City in an FA Cup third round replay.[8]
International career[edit]
Ashbee has represented the Republic of Ireland at under-16, under-17 and under-18 level.[5]
In May 2023, Ashbee was a member of the Irish squad for the 2023 UEFA European Under-17 Championship.[5] He made one appearance at the tournament, playing the full 90 minutes of the team's 5–1 loss to Poland in their opening match.[9]
