Starlight is an upcoming American superhero film directed by Joe Cornish, based on the comic book of the same name by Mark Millar.

Plot[edit]

Duke McQueen came back to Earth, got married, had kids, and grew old after saving the universe 35 years ago. Now his children have left and his wife has died, leaving him alone with nothing except his memories...until a call comes from a distant world asking him back for his final and greatest adventure.

Production[edit]

In December 2013, The Hollywood Reporter reported that 20th Century Fox would produce a Starlight film with Simon Kinberg producing through Genre Films.[1] In September 2014, Gary Whitta was set to write the script.[2] In May 2015, Millar stated that the film was his next project.[3] In April 2021, Joe Cornish will write a new script and direct the film for 20th Century Studios and Nira Park to produce the movie.[4]
