Stefania Capobianco
[edit]Stefania Capobianco (Gaeta, December 31, 1986) is an italian journalist, writer, director and film producer.[1]
Life and career
[edit]Stefania Capobianco was born in Gaeta, Italy.[2] She enrolled in 2006 at Sapienza University of Rome, Faculty of Arts and Humanities, graduating with honors in 2012, in the master’s degree of Performing Arts. After graduating, in 2013, she wrote a short story “In-Contro”, published by Vittorino Testa in the anthology “Twenty Stories about Brian Wilson and Smile".
In 2013, Stefania Capobianco produced and co-wrote the documentary “Mediterranean diet example to the world”, in collaboration with RAI Cinema.[3]
In 2018, Stefania Capobianco co-wrote the screenplay and co-directed the comedy film “Mò Vi Mento – Lira di Achille”, presented at the 75th Venice International Film Festival in the “Venice Production Bridge” section[4] and at the Naples Film Festival[5].
In 2019, Stefania Capobianco received the “Special Award for cinematic merits”, awarded by the “Venice International Grand Prix of the Golden Lion”, at the Lazio Regional Council in Rome[6] and the prestigious "Ennio Flaiano Golden Pegasus Award", during the 46th edition of the International Flaiano Awards.[7]
Stefania Capobianco was also the associate producer of the film “Rita Levi Montalcini”, directed by Alberto Negrin and broadcasted on Rai 1 channel in November 2020.
Between 2022 and 2023, she wrote two children's books, “A Merry Little Christmas”[8] and “Miracle on the 34th street”[9], that are both the adaptation of the screenplay of two famous films ("Miracle on 34th street" and "Meet me in St. Louis"), both published by Armando Curcio's publishing house.
Stefania Capobianco is also the creator, producer, director, co-author and co-host of her latest television project, the TV program "Linea Verde Treni Storici", consisting in 6 episodes.
