Steve Gerben is an American stand-up comedian and actor. As of 2024, Gerben stars in the Netflix comedy series Tires, which he co-created with Shane Gillis and John McKeever. Gerben previously appeared in the Comedy Central web series Delco Proper and online sketch series Gilly & Keeves.^[1]

Early life and career

Gerben was born in Berwyn, Pennsylvania.^{[citation needed]} His father owned and operated Valley Forge Tire, a chain of automotive service centers, before selling the chain in 2007.^[2]^[3] In July 2007, Gerben won Helium Comedy Club's annual "Philly's Phunniest" competition.^[4]

Gerben frequently collaborates with comedians Shane Gillis and John McKeever. In 2016, he portrayed Gordy in the Comedy Central web series Delco Proper.^[5] From 2020 to 2021, Gerben regularly appeared in the web series Gilly & Keeves and the feature-length Gilly & Keeves: The Special.

In 2019, Gerben appeared in a pilot for Tires that was uploaded on Gillis's YouTube channel.^[6] In 2024, Netflix purchased a six-episode season of the show with Gerben serving as co-creator and executive producer, alongside Gillis and McKeever.^[7] The story centers on Gerben's character, Will, a nervous and unqualified heir to his family's auto-repair chain, Valley Forge Automotive Center.^[8]
