The Stratford Crier[1] is a weekly independent digital newspaper based in Stratford, Connecticut. The Crier was founded in 2020 to educate and inform town residents about local issues.

The Stratford Crier covers a range of hyperlocal news topics, including town government, politics, education, the environment, arts and Culture, health, business and town events.

Barbara Heimlich is the editor of the Stratford Crier[2]. She is a former reporter for the Connecticut Post newspaper and a former professional topical research analyst for new business and new product development.

Dr. David Chess is Board Chair of the Stratford Crier[3]. He is an internist and geriatrician who has built multiple private and public health care companies. Chess is founder of Stratford Forward, Stratford Volunteer Corps and the Stratford Crier.
