[edit]TAL Life Limited (TAL) can trace its origins to 1869 when it was established as the New Zealand Government Life Office. Over time, it underwent a series of changes and expansions. By the 1990s, it, then recognised as TOWER Life, integrated several Australian life insurance entities into its operations.
Transition to TAL Life
[edit]In 2008, Dai-ichi Life Insurance Company Limited of Japan entered the scene as a minority shareholder. This relationship evolved, culminating in Dai-ichi's full acquisition of the company in May 2011.[1]. Following this transition, the company adopted its current name, TAL Life[2]
