The TMM-6 8x8 bridgelayer is an un-armoured engineering vehicle based on the MZKT 7930 Astrologer's hull and used for the launching and retrieval of a 17 meter scissors-type bridge

Development[edit]
The TMM-6 was developed in the 1990's for both domestic and export purposes. It was designed by Omsk Machine Building and Design Bureau and was built on the chassis of MZKT-7930 "astrologer".[1]
Description[edit]
The TMM-6 (Tyazhelo Mekhniznrovanny Most 6, "heavy mechanized bridge 6"). Is an unarmored bridge layer designed in Russia for domestic and foreign use. It is Russia's most advanced bridge layer and can be operated by two soldiers.[1]
Bridge assembly[edit]
The bridge is launched using hydraulics and bridges can be connected together in order to make a bridge as long as is required to cross the obstacles. The most common assembly is six vehicles to make 102 meter bridge and requires 50 minutes to assemble.
