“The Hoosnagang” is an animated web series that revolves around six close-knit friends living in the enchanting town of “The Hoosnagleen.” Together, they embark on a series of captivating adventures, dedicated to maintaining peace and harmony in their delightful community.[1] The show was produced by Rustwater Studios and premiered on May 3, 2024, with animation by Mortimer.[2]
Characters
[edit]Officer Joe: The largest member of the group, Officer Joe enjoys playing the role of a cop and tending to the veggies.[3] Colly B. Jr.: The youngest among them, Colly B. Jr. is a spirited little sailor with a matching temper.[4] Silas: Silas tends to the gardens, trims excess branches, and keeps the soil moist.[5] Scott: An army member who often finds himself in various kinds of trouble.[6] Axel: The perpetually pajama-clad member of the group.[7] Albert: The brains of the bunch, known for his intelligence.[8] Additional characters include:
Timmy Bucket: Silas’s grumpy and occasionally sober uncle, with a religious bent.[9] Shila: Silas’s sister, recognizable by her bulging eyes, yellow bows, pink lips, and green skirt.[10] Silas Jr.: Silas’s nephew, sporting a cool attitude and a strong opposition to slavery.[11] Neil: Silas’s jazz-loving, somewhat menacing brother and exchange student.[12] Tar Slime: A tar monster that makes an appearance in one episode, flinging tar at random people.[13] Silas (Silas The Hedgehog): A hedgehog cat robot-hybrid and Mortimer’s friend.[14] Mortimer: A faded cyan hedgehog who’s occasionally funny but not the sharpest tool in the shed (and a fan of pizza).[15] Ideacord: An annoying friend of Niki.[16] Niki: A slender maroon stick figure who goes by many names.[17] Taybillcloth: An African ringmaster with a passion for music.[18]
