Submission declined on 22 August 2024 by Robert McClenon (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of music-related topics). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

The New Sound is the debut solo album by English musician Geordie Greep, released on 4 October 2024 through Rough Trade Records. It is the first album to be released by a member of Black Midi since their indefinite hiatus. Upon release, the album was met with acclaim, with many critics praising its ambition and fusion of genres.[1][2]
Recording
[edit]The album was recorded in both São Paulo and London, and features over thirty session musicians. According to Greep, half of the tracks were done with local Brazilian musicians pulled together at the last minute. They had never heard anything he had done before, and were just interested in the demos he had made.[3]This is Greep's first album since the hiatus of black midi.[1]
