The Next Race is a danish organization founded in 2023 and headquartered in Aarhus: the second-largest city in Denmark. Its mission and focus is to identify and develop "the next generation" of athletes and sporting talent.
As a sporting platform, The Next Race aims to identify, nurture, and promote promising young athletes across various sports. The system helps:
- Talent scouting and identification
- Specialized training and development programs for young athletes
- Organizing competitions or events to showcase emerging talent
- Providing resources and support for athletes to reach their full potential
- Collaborating with schools, sports clubs, and other organizations to grow the athlete development ecosystem
The organization works towards promoting and growing the use of technology in sports, and to assist DIF in catching the world's interest for sports in Denmark in general.
In 2024, The Next Race launched their first product: A user-friendly training plan designer centered around usability, which they achieve through the use of user centered design and user research to achieve a high level quality of user experience. The platform offers various quality of life features:
- Drag and drop functionality
- Synchronization through .ICS technology
- Peer-to-peer training plan sharing via link-publication
The Next Race applied, was accepted, and invited to be part of 5th season and cohort of Buildspace.
