The question of nationalities and social democracy (German: Die Nationalitätenfrage und die Sozialdemokratie) is a book written in 1907 by the austromarxist thinker Otto Bauer.

Bauer develops a marxist theory of nationality in the context Austria-Hungary. Citizens of many different nations were the majority in the empire but political authority was in the hands of Germans or Hungarians. The book is an attempt to find solution to the nationalist demands of these people.
