The Summer Book is an upcoming Finnish American drama film written by Robert Jones, directed by Charlie McDowell and starring Glenn Close and Anders Danielsen Lie. It is based on Tove Jansson's novel of the same title.

In March 2023, it was announced that Close and Lie were cast in the film.[1]
In July that same year, it was announced that the filmmakers were granted an interim agreement to allow production to occur by SAG-AFTRA since the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike was occurring at the time.[2][3]
