The Tutsi Empire[1] is a conspiracy theory purporting to indicate a Tutsi plot for continental domination of Sub-Saharan Africa and subjugation of Bantu, Afro-Arab and Ethiopian peoples in order to establish a Nilotic Empire. Largely discussed among the Congolese diaspora, Francophones, white supremacists and Afrophiles on Twitter, Somalispot,[2] 4chan and Facebook, it gained attention in Europe after the Rwandan genocide, and disseminated internationally in the early part of the 21sh century. It played a key part in popularizing belief in an international Nilotic conspiracy[3] after the election of Barack Obama, John Garang's alleged assassination, and South Sudan's independence. It has similar aspects to the fabricated Protocols of the Elders of Zion. There have been notable Nilotic revolutionaries John Okello, Mengistu Haile Mariam and Joseph Kony who Congolese conspiracy theorists believe adds credence to the Tutsi plot but no such connection has been made between these revolutionaries and the Tutsi people other than sharing Nilotic descent. Some falsely believe the East African Federation is a ruse by Paul Kagame, William Ruto, Yoweri Museveni[4][failed verification] and other Nilotic conspirators to bring out this Hima-Tutsi Empire[5] with advisor help from Benjamin Netanyahu and Likud to kickstart this African superstate. The debunked conspiracy theory continues to be an ongoing discussion among online users due to its surrealism and absurdity.
