Mr. Thodoris Andriopoulos

Thodoris Andriopoulos, born in Athens in 1967, is a distinguished mathematics teacher and author. He has received specialized training in educating gifted students and mentoring teachers on effective strategies for teaching such students at Johns Hopkins University. Currently, Andriopoulos imparts his knowledge of mathematics at Anatolia College in Thessaloniki and also instructs on Game theory at the Center for Talented Youth in Greece.

He is the author of two mathematics textbooks and the graphic novel "Who Killed Professor X?"—a work that has garnered international acclaim, being published in Greek (Ellinoekdotiki), English (Birkhäuser), Japanese (Kodansha), Korean (Darun), and Chinese (Sunbook). The novel's underlying educational project achieved third place at the 6th Microsoft European Innovative Teachers Forum in Vienna, 2009, receiving accolades in a special category voted on by European educators. Furthermore, this project earned the "Excellence and Innovation in Education" award from the Greek Ministry of Education for Andriopoulos, and he was honored as "Teacher of the Month" by Microsoft's German website in January 2010. In addition to his literary contributions, Andriopoulos has co-authored a digital textbook designed for senior high school students, developed under the auspices of the Greek Ministry of Education. His creative endeavors extend beyond the classroom and into the realm of game design, with the creation of the board game "Master Sum," which further showcases his passion for mathematics and education.
