Draft:Thy Light
Submission declined on 23 February 2024 by HitroMilanese (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of music-related topics). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

Thy Light is a depressive black metal band first formed by Brazilian musician Paolo Bruno in 2005 as a solo project with Alex "Witchfinder" Aguiar.[1][2] Thy Light's music and lyrics is characterized by its depressive themes, often exploring themes of suicide, despair, depression, anger, and nostalgia. Thy Light first rose to prominence in the underground metal scene with their demo album Suici.De.pression released independently in 2007,[3] which received critical acclaim for its raw emotion and atmospheric depth.[4]
In 2013, Thy Light released their first full-length album entitled No Morrow Shall Dawn under Pest Productions.[5] After the release of this album, other than a compilation release in 2017 entitled Compendium released under Sphera Noctis Records,[6] Thy Light ceased any new musical releases until 2021, with the release of their first self-titled EP.[7]
In 2022, Thy Light played as a live band for the first time ever at the Sinister Feast Festival, adding members Guilherme Malosso and Adversus to their live member lineup.[8][9]
