The founding members included lead vocalist and frontman Timothy Neil, guitarist Raymond Brown, bassist Teekay Ridgeway, and drummer L.N. Touring. The band played small clubs in the Cincinnati and Chicago areas and put on unannounced free shows in parks and in other public areas.

This album featured the songs “Wanna See a Magic Trick”, “Carry Me”, “Shellfish”, “Bed by the Window”, “Back of My Head”, “Timmy Needs Violence”, and the title track, “Make Fists, Not Friends”. In 2013, they released an extended version of the album, also self-published, called “Make War, Not Friends”, featuring all-new recordings of the same songs plus a new song entitled “War”.
