David Badalyan (born December 19, 1989), known professionally as tokionine, is a producer and songwriter of Armenian origin. He composed and produced the song Qami Qami, which was performed by Maléna and won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021.[1][2][3]. He is also the composer of the song "Do It My Way" performed by Yan Girls, who represented Armenia in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2023[4][5]. In 2022 tokionine produced a cover version of the song Cheri, Cheri Lady by German pop duo Modern Talking, which was performed my Maléna. In February 2023 Cheri Cheri Lady went viral on TikTok in Indonesia and Vietnam[6], reaching the top of the Top 50 Viral on Spotify and iTunes in Vietnam. On February 24, the song was the number 1 in Daily Viral Songs Vietnam[7]. The song was number 26 on the Billboard Vietnam Hot 100 list.
