Tristan Hambleton (born 4th December 1988) is a British operatic bass-baritone and former treble.

Life and Career[edit]

Hambleton was born in London and was a chorister at St Paul's Cathedral. As a treble soloist he appeared at the BBC Proms.[1], Royal Opera House Covent Garden[2] and on recordings including Karl Jenkin's The Armed Man; A Mass for Peace. He was later educated at The King's School Canterbury and St John's College Cambridge where he studied History of Art. He then went on to attended Heidelberg University and the Royal Academy of Music, London.

Hambleton created the role of Karl for David Bruce's Nothing at Glyndebourne[3] and has sung with a number of national and international orchestras and companies including The Hallé, Welsh National Opera[4], Opera National de Bordeaux and The Mahler Chamber Orchestra[5]
