Ulcer Dept. is a goth-pop band from Southern California[1][2]. Formed in 2020, with goth and surf influences, by singer and main song writer Evan Eleven and supported by lead guitar player Sean Jessel, after collaborating together in previous projects 'SUN\\SCRN'[3] and later 'Cemetery Park'[4] out Ventura, California.
The first single "DROPdead" released in 2022, quickly followed by 4 additional singles were released, including their most popular and most streamed single to date, "Older and Colder". In 2022, 5 additional songs were released and in 2024 all tracks were released collectively as the album "Like A Warm Shower With Your Clothes On"[5], the title itself a reference to a past violent assault on singer Evan Eleven.
The next album has been in the works since the November of 2023. The first new single is scheduled to be released in July, 2024.
