Umnico was founded in 2017 by three friends: Dmitriy Matusevich, Ilya Gladenko, and Artyom Khatsianovich. The technology startup started as an idea to create a platform for small businesses, combining popular social media networks such as WhatsApp, Instagram, and VK. Over time, Umnico has expanded the scope of provided solutions, developing desktop and mobile apps that include integrations with over 25 text-based communication channels, sales funnel, and analytics.[4] In 2020, the company participated in the GoGlobal export acceleration program.[5] Currently, the company's software supports five languages: German, English, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish.[6]
