Vaibhav Palhade (born October 12, 1998, in Akola, Maharashtra) is an Indian filmmaker and author. He is known for his work in Indian cinema and literature, particularly in the Marathi language.[1][2]
Early Life and Education
[edit]Vaibhav Palhade was born in Akola, Maharashtra, where he developed an interest in filmmaking and literature from a young age.[3] In addition to his work in film and literature, Palhade has contributed to education through various initiatives. He has been recognized for his impactful efforts in educating youth in Rajasthan, highlighting his commitment to social causes beyond his primary career.[4] Additionally, Palhade has also conducted filmmaking workshops for students from underprivileged backgrounds and smaller cities, offering them free access to valuable skills and knowledge, thus supporting aspiring filmmakers.[5]

[edit]Palhade made his debut in Indian cinema with the short film I'm Porous, noted for its exploration of social themes.[6]
In 2022, he directed the Marathi-language feature film 72 Rupayacha Paus, which garnered attention for its storytelling and cultural impact.[7] He is also working on the web series Curse of Bhadravati, which is set to release in 2025. This series aims to blend Indian mythology with contemporary themes.[8]
Literary Career
[edit]Palhade published his debut novel, Saajna Re: A Lifelong Journey of Finding Her, in 2020. The novel, which explores relationships during the COVID-19 lockdown, was well-received and became a bestseller in India.[9] In 2024, he released another book, Echoes of Yesterday, which further established his presence in literature.
