Vidath Ranasinghe

Wewagama Ranasinghe Lekamalage VIdath Rithmina Ranasinghe, later shortened to, Vidath Rithimina Ranasinghe is a cricketer who currently plays for Dapto Canaries in Illawarra, New South Wales, Australia. He was born in Matara, Sri Lanka.

Early Life[edit]

Ranasinghe was born and raised in Matara, Sri Lanka, where he showed exceptional talent in cricket from a young age. As his cricketing journey continued, at age 3 he moved to Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia.

Career[edit]

Ranasinghe migrated to Australia to pursue his cricketing ambitions and settled in Illawarra, NSW. He joined the Dapto Canaries cricket club and quickly established himself as a key player due to his outstanding spin bowling and fielding prowess. This was established by his personal coach, who was a leg spinner himself,Udara Jayasundara who played for the Srilankan National Team as an all rounder.

Achievements[edit]

Throughout his career, Ranasinghe has garnered recognition for his consistent performances on the cricket field. He continues to be a promising talent in the sport.

Personal Life[edit]

Apart from cricket, Ranasinghe maintains an active lifestyle and is involved in various sporting activities including the state Cross Country team and Illawarra Representative in track and field.
