Draft:Vincenzo de Cotiis

  • Comment: Although notability is potentially present, the promotional tone (still present, although toned down) makes it hard to see it. Sources are almost exclusively from niche publications that usually published "pitched" projects (i.e. Architectural Digest and Elle Deco). Other publications don't offer significant coverage. So, between the promotional tone and the lack of independent sources to establish notability, I don't find this draft ready to be published. Rkieferbaum (talk) 19:41, 13 September 2023 (UTC)

Vincenzo De Cotiis (born 1958) is an Italian artist, architect and designer. After studying architecture at Politecnico di Milano, in 1997 he founded Vincenzo De Cotiis Architects and Gallery in Milan with his partner Claudia Rose De Cotiis.[1]

De Cotiis has since worked on a range of projects involving public spaces and private residences,[2][3][4] and also collaborates with luxury brands, notably redesigning Burberry's flagship stores in London and Paris.[5][6][7] He has been featured on Architectural Digest magazine's annual list of Top 100 designers worldwide since 2021, described as "following in the footsteps of Italian maestros like Gio Ponti and Carlo Scarpa."[8][9][10]

In 2021 De Cotiis was awarded the ELLE Deco International Design Award for Best Interior Designer of the Year.[11] His artworks have been widely exhibited, such as at institutions such as at the Ca’ d’Oro in Venice on the occasion of the Venice Biennale 2019.[12][13]

In 2023, De Cotiis completed architectural renovations of the 15th century Palazzo Giustinian Lolin, on the banks of Venice's Grand Canal, as well as the restaurant and boardroom of Grade-II listed Ladbroke Hall, Notting Hill London.[14] Both projects are typical of De Cotiis' style, complementing the original features of historic buildings with his own artistic interventions.[14]
