Waveform* (stylised as waveform*) are an American indie band from Connecticut consisting of Jarett Denner and Dan Poppa.[1] They began as a bedroom-pop act with low fidelity characteristics to their recording qualities, borrowing heavy inspiration from lo-fi acts such as Alex G and Duster. In the late 2010's, Waveform* released three albums: Library (2018), Sckrpnch (2018), and Shooting Star (2019).

Waveform* are regarded for having mostly acoustic elements in their music, and a homey atmosphere to their music in whole. Many of the band's cover arts embody a home or a room. Meant to entice an atmosphere. The band, being from the north-east United States, has stated they embrace the images often associated with things like the cold or the nature in the New England area.
