Wilde Things is an upcoming American television comedy created by Max Mutchnick and David Kohan, and will star Julie Bowen. In May 2021, the series was passed on by CBS.[1]

Premise[edit]

Wilde Things will center on Frankie Wolfe, "a very successful and fiercely independent crisis manager whose world is turned upside down when she decides to let someone into her life for the first time, an 11-year-old girl who she adopts and raises with the occasional help of her fragile, nervous wreck of a sister."[2]

On February 4, 2020, it was announced that CBS had given a comedy series, Please Hold For Frankie Wolfe, created by Max Mutchnick and David Kohan, a plot order.[3] In October 2020, the show was renamed to Wilde Things.[4]

On March 6, 2020, it was announced that Julie Bowen had been cast as Frankie Wolfe.[2][5] In September 2020, it was confirmed that Stephanie Koenig would join the series as Frankie's sister, Mary.[4][6] In October 2020, it was announced that Ken Marino would join the series as Joe, Milan Carter as Frankie's assistant, Lenny, and Juliet Donenfeld as Quinn.[4]
