Willamette Valley Academy is a non-profit private school in Beaverton, Oregon. It was founded in 2020 and the current principal is Connor Nelson. Its parent company is Sunshine Elite Education. Oregon ARML/Oregon Math Circle, one of Oregon’s largest math circles, holds most of their meetings at WVA. Students of WVA include Sheryan Paliwal, Vihaan Paliwal, Anshul Mantri, John Kong, Keshav Karumbunathan, and Joseph Liang. Manuel Norse, who the students refer to as “Mr. Norse” is one of the teachers, and leads the WVA MathCounts team and in many years has led the Oregon State MathCounts team. Willamette Valley Academy has one of the best Science Bowl teams in Oregon, being the last Oregon team standing in 2024’s BPA Regional Middle School Science Bowl.

By the end of the 2022-2023 school year, all students went on to high school, with most going to Westview, Jesuit, or Catlin Gabel.
Academics
[edit]Since 2020, the WVA has received first place at MATHCOUNTS statewide. The school also has a presence in science, having entries is NWSE.
