Wilsen Willim (Born August 23, 1993), an Indonesian fashion designer based in Jakarta.

Growing up far from the capital city made Wilsen Willim dreams big. Pursuing his passion in fashion right after finishing his studies in fine art, Wilsen has a unique way in balancing his sharp idealism in design whilst meeting the needs of his clientele.

Early career

Indonesian fashion industry first introduced to Wilsen Willim when he participated in Harper’s Bazaar Asia NewGen Fashion Awards 2016.[1], where he was chosen as one of the two national winners and be a finalist for the South East Asian level in Singapore [2]. Back then he was still a fashion student. since then, Wilsen been featured in prestigious events such as Fashion Revolution Fashion Open Studio in 2018 [3], Jagantara by Warisan Budaya Indonesia (WBI) 2022 [4], Fashion Nation by Senayan City [5] and actively presenting his collection in Jakarta Fashion Week each year since 2018 until 2022 [6].

Collaborators

Having an art background, Wilsen invited artists from all around the world as collaborators in his collections such as from senior world class artists like Eddie Hara [7] and Douglas Diaz [8] to Indonesian contemporary artist Manda Selena (Pinky Girl) [9].

Since mid 2022 Wilsen has a new passion in preserving Indonesian intangible treasure in the form of Batik and Tenun. This fresh idea brought him to collaborate with Cita Tenun Indonesia (CTI) and WBI from time to time in the past few seasons [10]

His clean cut minimalist design with signature pinwheel origami technique is now accessible to buy in Central Department Store (Grand Indonesia) Jakarta [11], Warisan Budaya Indonesia (WBI) Store in Ashta district 8 and main store in Jakarta.
