Yolandi Franken is an Australian film and TV producer and TV host.[1][2][3] She is known for three feature films: Turbines, Tabernacle 101, and Streets of Colour.[4][5]

Currently, she is co-producing a buddy-comedy movie on gender and racial equality, Carmen and Bolude,[5] as well as New Kid at School and Tales of Tinderella.[6][7]

Career[edit]

In 2019, Yolandi joined WIFT (Women in Film & Television) Australia and was Co-Chair of their NSW Committee and Chair of their Virtual Arm.[8][9]

In 2014, Yolandi started a charitable film festival called Cause Film Festival,[10] which she ran for three years before passing on her role as Festival Director.[11]

For her work in the community, Yolandi was nominated Australian of the Year in 2015.[12][5][6][7]

Her Streets of Colour is a 2024 nominee for the Best Indie Film Award from The Australian Academy of Cinema Television Arts (AACTA).[13]
