Zaki Alabdullah is a Saudi independent filmmaker and cinematographer. He's a former professional tennis player and represented his country at the Asian Games in Guangzhou 2010 games. He graduated with an MFA in film from Northwestern University where he was mentored by acclaimed filmmaker Marco Williams. His first film as a director was his MFA thesis film Saleh which competed in the student Academy Awards (OSCARS) 51st edition. He also won the Golden Palm Award for best short film at the Saudi film festival 10th edition and the Ahmed Khedr Award for excellence in Arab filmmaking at the European independent film festival (ÉCU).
