Draft:Zoe Dargue
Submission declined on 30 December 2023 by Ca (talk). My concern is that as far as I can tell, very little information is published about this author based on the cited sources. This is not enough to make a good biography. Biographies of living people has higher sourcing requirements and inclusion criteria, so you should find sources(preferably ones that aren't mostly quotes) that enable you to write a decent biography of this author.
I am no longer seeing the tone issues the other reviewers mentioned, so good job on that.

Submission declined on 18 August 2023 by DoubleGrazing (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia. This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies. |

- Comment: The entire 'List of Magazine Publications' section should be removed IMO; it contributes nothing but WP:REFBOMBING, and in any case Wikipedia is not meant to be a comprehensive catalogue of someone's entire body of work. DoubleGrazing (talk) 09:13, 18 August 2023 (UTC)
- Comment: Author should please respond to the COI query placed on their user talk page four months (!) ago. Thank you. DoubleGrazing (talk) 09:12, 18 August 2023 (UTC)
- Comment: This is just a promo piece with no evidence of notability. Unless better sources are added which satisfy WP:GNG beyond doubt, I would say this should be rejected. DoubleGrazing (talk) 09:10, 18 August 2023 (UTC)
- Comment: See WP:COI. All statements need to be sourced, starting with the date of birth. Greenman (talk) 08:53, 20 April 2023 (UTC)
- Comment: Article needs a ton of work, since right now it's just a promo piece that in no way meets our qualifications. The only secondary source is an article from the local newspaper. It also has unencyclopedic/promotional language, it's overlinked, there are too many images. Drmies (talk) 14:49, 18 April 2023 (UTC)

Zoe Dargue is a children's author and a photographer from Scotland.[1]
Early Life[edit]
Zoe grew up in Blantyre, Scotland. She attended Calderside High.[1]
Premier Mo's, High Blantyre[edit]
Zoe was commissioned to take photo of 3 Blantyre landmarks for a local supermarket. Zoe captured black and white images of The David Livingstone Bridge, the Centenary Memorial, and the Livingstone and The Lion statue.[1]
Brae Discovers Blantyre[edit]
Brae Discovers Blantyre is Zoe Dargue's debut children's book, published on Amazon in May 2023[2], the tale follows a stray cat named Brae on a journey throughout Blantyre's past and present. Zoe told newspaper Daily Record: "I grew up learning a lot about my area but the books that were around were grown up books, there wasn't a lot for kids to interact with, so I thought I would give it a go. And, a couple of months later, I have a children's book ready to go."[1]
In November 2023,[3] Zoe visited High Blantyre Primary School during their Book Week[4] Programme. Later, she was interviewed by the newspaper Daily Record about the visit, stating "I was able to talk to the pupils about Blantyre's past, and they shared their own stories about the town with me." [...] "I'm glad to say that the day spent at the school gave us the opportunity to give a free education to each pupil about their town's history, and we seemed to have sparked an interest in discussing these topics further.[5]"
