About the draft[edit]

I'm an experienced Wikipedia editor but I'm also a little protective of my privacy and so I created this account to write an article about my father, who died in 2022. I'm submitting this draft without fully completing it - e.g., I need to find a suitable photo; and the refs need to be sprinkled more appropriately around the article - but the draft *does* reflect all the readily-available sources, which will help a reviewer assess notability. If the thing is approved I'll make those fixes.

On notability, the easy-to-find 3d party sources are not abundant, but IMHO sufficient to the purpose. The Free Press article marking his 90th birthday was featured on the front page, above the fold, of a Sunday edition; and the two obituaries, whose titles directly reference his local fame, were written by the papers that published them (I have not referenced the paid death notices / obits). Then too, my father rose to prominence and was at his most visible in the 1960s and 1970s, a period from which published sources are not always easy to find or view. There being only three recent articles that sum up his career and acccomplishments, I'd suggest that the reviewing editor simply read each one.

I'll await an assessment and action. Thanks. AwryGuy (talk) 14:07, 19 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I've distributed references to appropriate places throughout the article, so that's taken care of. I'll see about a photo as well. AwryGuy (talk) 20:25, 19 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
