Draft aims, vision and limitations

I believe an article regarding Schlatt can satisfy the WP:ENT SNG as well as WP:GNG (to a lesser extent.) I believe Jschlatt is a good candidate for an article because he is a significant name in the YouTube/Twitch sphere, he has been producing content for a long period of time which has had a wide reach and has created significant works with others deemed notable (e.g. Dream, Matt Watson, Ludwig Ahgren).

Specifically I believe Schlatt can be demonstrated to meet WP:ENT: He's had significant roles in multiple YouTube series in which his sub-category of entertainer is; including Dream SMP, SMPLive, Epic SMP and Sleep Deprived SMP. Combined these "SMP" series have had billions of views. He has also featured in a number of creators' works as a significant feature.

In regards to WP:GNG, it's hard to provide a wide range of acceptably reliable sources, as a majority of sources in the industry are deemed "unreliable" (see WP:GAMESOURCES for Sportskeeda and Dexerto; the other largest source is Distractify which I doubt meets requirements.) However, I would argue that YouTube videos created by users independent of Schlatt would at a stretch meet GNG. That's because they're not journalistic or technically secondary, however they provide a record of events in significant detail.

There are significant limitations to sources that back up this article but I strongly believe it's worth making an attempt for a Wikipedia-quality article especially when so many less notable creators have articles. He's never been nominated for an award AFAIK, only featured in more mainstream publications for some minor scale controversies and provided few interviews but let's see what's possible. daylon124 (talk) 22:33, 11 June 2024 (UTC)
