Disputing rejection of draft[edit]

@Trainsandotherthings and KylieTastic: Hello, could you guys please check this out https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Kerakat_railway_station according to this discussion, all railway stations are automatically notable. @Indianx123 that discussion was from 2015 when there were a lot more subjects presumed notable. More recently the consensus has gone that most subjects need to show WP:GNG. Wikipedia:WikiProject Stations links to Wikipedia:Notability (Railway lines and stations) at the top of the page which is just an essay not a policy or guideline but shows that projects current direction: The nutsell "An article about a railway station or railway line could be created if there's enough referenced information to make it encyclopedic. Otherwise, include the station or line in a parent article". When I declined it had no sources at all and even presumed notable subjects have to have at least enough sources to show the information it true. I have not looked at the sources added but as @Trainsandotherthings is a member of Wikipedia:WikiProject Trains I would assume they have a good understanding of such subjects. Doing a quick look at more recent AfDs there is a mixed bag of results from the all stations are notable view to some being redirected. Thanks for the ping. Based on this 2022 RfC, train stations are explicitly not automatically notable. Your draft has been declined twice due to poor sourcing which fails to show it meets WP:GNG. Trainsandotherthings (talk) 13:05, 18 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
