Confusion about Moderator Objections to the Sources[edit]
Hello - I submitted the article for approval yesterday, and I was a little confused to see the moderator's object based on the sources.
All self-referential sources were removed, except for the reference to the launch of the open beta. VoxPop is mentioned for a substantial portion of all sources, even when it is not mentioned in the headline, such as for the Game Informer source. None of the sources were sponsored, and several of the sources were notable:
What remains to be done about the sources before the article can be approved? Is it just a matter of removing the references to F50 and the Launch, given that news articles do not directly cover either event? SpeedBoostTorchic (talk) 23:37, 20 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
This page is not unambiguously promotional, because it is a worldwide gaming brand and service company akin to Steam & Itch.io that both have presence on Wikipedia.
Comment - reasoning above has no bearing on the promotional tone of the draft. Would support the deletion. --CNMall41 (talk) 19:17, 1 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
This is purely subjective, can other gaming mods provide additional insight into the tone, as the current draft follows extremely similar beats of the itch.io article, providing subjective "support" for deletion without giving recourse on to how it can be solved is extremely unfair and slightly biased to new company listings with editorial news being generated for their citation 2600:4041:551C:E500:C1D9:4913:D471:2F10 (talk) 22:30, 1 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
