Dylan Riis Verrechia (born March 9, 1976, in Paris) is a Barthélemois award-winning film director, auteur, screenwriter, director of photography, and producer. He grew up in Saint Barthélemy, French West Indies, and was bedridden at age 8 from severe ankylosing spondylitis for ten years. After the national service in France, he studied Cinema at Paris Nanterre University taught by Jean Rouch from la Cinémathèque française. He then graduated with honors in Film & TV from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. Verrechia's movies have screened world-wide.

Tierra Madre (Part II of the Tijuana Trilogy) won in 2010 the Jury Award for Best Feature Film at Reeling: The Chicago LGBTQ+ International Film Festival[1], the Special Mention for Best Mexican Feature Film at Morelia International Film Festival[2], the Diversity Award for Best Feature Film at the Barcelona International Gay and Lesbian Film Festival [3], the Outstanding Achievement in Foreign Feature Award at the Williamsburg International Film Festival [4], the Cinesul Award for Best Feature Film at the Cinesul Ibero-Americano Film Festival, the Golden Palm at the Mexico International Film Festival, the Honorary Mention Prize at the New Jersey Film Festival, and the Silver Lei for Excellence in Filmmaking at the Honolulu International Film Festival.

Tijuana Makes Me Happy (Part I of the Tijuana Trilogy) won the Grand Jury Prize for Best Narrative Feature at the 2007 Slamdance Film Festival,[1][2] and the Indie Max Award at the San Antonio Film Festival[5]. Kids of the Majestic won the Artivist Award for Best Feature in Children's Advocacy Category at the 2010 Artivist Film Festival & Awards[6], and the Directing and Writing Insight Awards of Recognition at the National Association of Film and Digital Media Artists [7]. The Laughter of God won the World Tour Award for Best Director, Best Actor, and Best Cinematography at the 2003 IFCT Film Festival. He is also the co-founder of Troopers Films (Arakimentari directed by Travis Klose, 2004 Audience Award for Best Documentary at Brooklyn Film Festival), Palenque Filmaciones (Sangre de mi sangre directed by Christopher Zalla, 2007 Grand Jury Prize for Best Dramatic at Sundance Film Festival), and 25th Frame (Picture Me: A Model's Diary[8] directed by Sara Ziff, 2009 Audience Award for Best Documentary at Milan International Film Festival).

His company Verrechia Films LLC has offices in Brooklyn, New York, and in Baja California, Mexico, and collaborated on films such as BlackCard directed by Pete Chatmon with Dorian Missick, Simone Missick and Hisham Tawfiq (Black Lives Matter Award at Diversity in Cannes, acquired by HBO), Sega directed by Idil Ibrahim with Alassane Sy (Best Narrative at BlackStar Film Festival, acquired by Canal +), ABCD: American-Born Confused Desi (2013 film) directed by Martin Prakkat, participated on documentaries 499 (film) directed by Rodrigo Reyes (Golden Frog Prize for Best Docudrama at EnergaCAMERIMAGE)[3], The Price We Pay directed by Harold Crooks, Anthrax War directed by Bob Coen, 2B (film) directed by Rich Kroehling with James Remar and Kevin Corrigan, Storytelling (film) directed by Todd Solondz with Selma Blair, Paul Giamatti and John Goodman, conducted interviews with Akebono Taro, Ken Alibek, Wouter Basson, Beck, Björk, Hillary Clinton, Tiger Hattori, Henry Kissinger, Jaron Lanier, The Rolling Stones, Beat Takeshi, and on the making of music videos with artists Wu-Tang, Kanye West, Terence Trent D'Arby, Rihanna, Paul McCartney, Plies, Rae Sremmurd, Thieves Like Us (band), Von Haze, Nortec Collective, and The Calling.
